I was treated to a lovely surprise birthday weekend in London. I got to see Magnetic Man, Zane Lowe and Deadmau5 on Sat. night at Earls Court. Magnetic Man absolutely tore the place to shreds with some filthy dubstep. Zane Lowe brought it hard as well, with some sick mixes and tunes. Deadmau5 was a little disappointing. Ive seen him already at Roundhouse last year and he was really good, but this time he played his new album and it bombed. Not to mention we were standing directly in front of the speakers in the front where there was nothing but bass. (couldnt even breathe at one point, because it was so heavy). Totally disappointing Deadmau5. I thought you were a douche before, but at least you're music was impressive then. Spending Sunday afternoon at the Ritz for High Tea was without a doubt one of the nicest things Ive ever done in London. Amazing tea, scones sandwiches and cocktails (courtesy of a bartender who previously worked at my favourite Bar in Bristol). All in all, an unforgettable weekend.
